HOMECOMING 2008 "GO FOR THE GOLD" EVENTS February 3 – 8 2008 Homecoming 2008 King and Queen Applications are available! Pick one up at Student Life and Leadership Programs (SSH 1351) or access it online at wwwsa.csueastbay.edu/slife HOMECOMING COURT NOMINATIONS/APPLICATION Applications are now available for the 2008 Homecoming Court, which consists of 6 students nominated for King and Queen, 2 Academic Ambassadors and 4 Freshman Ambassadors. We strongly encourage you to nominate a member of your student club/organization or someone who embodies Pioneer Spirit as a candidate–at–large. A student election will be held to determine the Homecoming King and Queen winners on February 6th and 7th. Winners will be announced at the Homecoming game on February 8th. Applications are due by 12:00 pm on Friday, January 25th to Student Life and Leadership, SSH 1351. Applications may be downloaded from the Student Life and Leadership website: http:// wwwsa.csueastbay.edu/slife. CSUEB IDOL CONTEST Audition for your shot at stardom, on Wednesday, February 6th at 12:00 pm. The competition will end with the announcing of four winners. Each winner will sing the National Anthem at one of the following events either the Women´s Basketball or Men´s Basketball. Please contact Student Life and Leadership at 510.885.3657 or studentlife@ csueastbay.edu, by Monday, February 4th at 5 p.m if you´re a student interested in signing up for this event. HOMECOMING SPIRIT AWARD All recognized clubs and organizations are eligible to participate during Homecoming Week and show their "Pioneer Pride." You can win the Homecoming 2008 Spirit Award, by attending events, cheering loudly at games, and wearing red and black. The Homecoming Committee 2008 members will be watching and taking notes at all events. The winning club/organization will be announced during half–time at one of the basketball games on Friday, February 8th. HOMECOMING POSTER CONTEST – GAME ON! Participating student clubs/organizations will have the opportunity to win a CASH PRIZE for their club/organization by creating the BEST PIONEERS POSTER! Posters will be judged on the best use of this year´s theme, "Go For the Gold!," creativity and evidence of school spirit. There is no restriction on size, but posters MUST be G–rated only. Supplies are available at Student Life and Leadership, SSH 1351. All posters must be delivered to the PE Office by 12:00 pm on Friday, February 8th to be eligible. Remember, posters will be viewed from the floor of the gym!
