Your goal, during that period of time should be to learn what's required for various jobs or careers and see which ones feel right to you. You should observe, and ask the person you're shadowing questions to better understand the expectations of someone in that particular job. By shadowing someone else while they do their job, you can gain current information about a career field, an occupation, an industry, and a company to help you make more informed career decisions. Better yet, see a Career Counselor in the Career Development Center. They can assist you in identifying careers to research and resources to put you in touch with someone to job shadow!
